I don’t get to photograph a lot on college campuses, but there’s something to be said about Brandeis University. Both Lisa and Steve went to the same university but because their majors were so profoundly different, they never crossed paths, Steve was an economics and history double major and Lisa was a biology major; but they knew they were meant to be together when they met at a country music dance class in 2008. Can you say this is fate?
Steve had been passionate in chess ever since he was 5. He’s a national chess champion and he’s won numerous medals. It’s perfect the way Lisa described him – focused and analytical.
Lisa, on the other hand, knows nothing about chess. She’s an anime geek. She also has a passion for sewing. She sewed her own costume for Anime Boston. I’m very tempted to post the picture of her in that costume here but I don’t own the copyright so I can’t do that unfortunately. I’m not as huge of an anime fan as she is, but I’ve been watching Bleach for a long time so I could relate, haha.
They’re incorporating some medieval style in their first dance on their wedding day and since they both went to Brandeis University, and there were dorm buildings that looked like castles, it was the perfect place for their engagement session.
I love this spiral staircase
This is ridiculously cool.
“This is so Brandeis” Steve said. The staircases and the extremely uneven landscape. His two majors were on the opposite sides of campus, he had to walk from one end to the other between classes. There was really no point of him going to the gym.
