Part of the reason why I love photographing engagement sessions is because I get to see places I have never been before, and there is no time constraint so we’re able to take our time and have a good time. I met Steve and Xavier for drinks at Met Bar in the Back Bay. We hit it off right off the bat. Even thought they’re much more outdoorsy and adventurous than I am, from skiing, hiking, to biking, we talked about wanting to take scuba diving lessons. I swear, just a few days before I met them, I was looking into scuba diving classes. Wouldn’t it be great if we could scuba dive together in the exotic salt and fresh water springs in Florida, swimming alongside beautiful ocean creatures? </day dream>
So Steve and Xavier decided to do their engagement session at the Emerald Necklace in Fenway. I was surprised I had never been to that part of Fenway before despite being frequented the Regal movie theater and House of Blues (oh yes, part of Steve and Xavier’s wedding will be at the House of Blues. It will be epic!) Their ceremony and reception will be at the L’Espalier in Copley Square. I can not wait for their big day!
I absolutely love that they incorporated one of their favorite outdoor activities in their engagement shoot – biking. And their plaids are adorable. What a perfect match to the fall colors.
The burning orange sky was so dramatic.
