I think city hall weddings are awesome; they’re simple, intimate, and can be personalized/creative too just like any other weddings. I loved the fact that Shelley and Amy brought in bouquets and a little hand-made chalkboard with their names and wedding date on it. The most awesome thing about their Boston City Hall wedding was that it was on New Year’s Eve. The holiday celebrations are going to make their anniversary so much more joyful; of course it doesn’t hurt to snuggle up and watch the fireworks together.
There’s one misconception that I think a lot of couples who are planning on getting married at Boston City Hall have; they think that City Hall doesn’t allow photography because it’s a government property. This is obviously not true if you’ve searched the Internet and see how many weddings have been photographed there. I’ve photographed several weddings there and every single time the officiants were extremely nice and accommodating of my photography needs. Your wedding is going to be a once-in-a-lifetime memory so it only makes sense to be able to document it.
You can see the excitement in Amy’s eyes.
This hand-made chalkboard is very Pinterest-y.
I think it’s so adorable that they tied the knot on New Year’s Eve!
This was the moment when they were asked if they would like to be called wives or spouses during the ceremony, they chose wives. Very good choice!
We got a nice room for their marriage ceremony. I love the bookcase as the background. The bouquets and chalkboard just made it better.
Someone’s tearing up a little here.
These two have the most adorable smiles!!! I can’t get over it :D
As you can see, you can be just as adorable as they are for being a Ze Liang Photography couple! No, kidding! But seriously, get in touch if you got engaged during the holidays and are looking for an awesome photographer :)
