The end of summer and beginning of fall is my favorite time of the year, not just because of the vibrant New England foliage that makes beautiful backdrops, but it’s also the end of summer, the temperature is cool enough that you won’t get too cold or hot despite what attire you choose. It’s also a great time to go camping too. In fact, a couple of my friends and I went camping in Provincetown in September. We brought sleeping bags and an air mattress but ended up not using the sleeping bag. One of my friends was getting his grad degree at Boston University and worked with Xiaojing. It also happened that Xiaojing and Melody got engaged and were planning a wedding in China, but they wanted to do a bridal session in Boston so they would have the photos to show off at their actual wedding. I thought it was a great idea. I loved that they were able to dress up in formal wedding attire. To me, it was more of less like an engagement session, but with more formal attire. We did the bridal session at the Boston Common, Boston Public Garden, worked our way to Beacon Hill, and the Charles River Esplanade. Melody’s wedding dress was stunning but it wasn’t the easiest task walking around in it. Luckily, she brought alone her parents to help out. Her mom was holding the train of the dress and her dad was holding the bouquet and carrying all the bags. They definitely made the session a lot easier.
Very classic New England foliage – the red, green, and orange leaves. Don’t you love it?!
This is the iconic tree by the pond at Boston Common. It was beautiful how the tree branches and leaves were hung down.
And we briefly stopped by Beacon Hill.
The Esplanade was beautiful. I loved having the Charles River as the backdrop. Xiaojing and Melody looked stunning in this photo.
Melody had two veils – a long one and a short one. She was wearing the short one because it made walking around easier. We also put the long veil over their heads for this shot and I loved how romantic it was.
I think I’m now addicted to bridal sessions. It was so much fun. If you’re engaged and debating about doing a bridal or engagement session, I highly recommend it. Please get in touch if you’re thinking about it.
