I love photographing beach weddings and engagement sessions. Carson Beach is my favorite one in Boston (see my post on my 7 best Boston engagement session locations.) The trick to having a successful session is avoid the weekend when most beaches are crowded with people. I can promise you your photos will look nicer with clean and uncluttered backgrounds. We did Denise and Stephen’s Carson Beach engagement session on a weekend, fortunately it was overcast, which meant that there were just a handful of people there. There also seems to be a misconception about overcast days and doing outdoor photography. If your wedding or engagement session is on a beach, overcast or cloudy days are actually better than sunny days.
Denise and Stephen were so easy and fun to photograph. If you meet them in person, you would know they’re the kind of couple who has great chemistry and is perfect for each other.
I loved couples who weren’t afraid to get their feet wet, literally, and Denise and Stephen were one of them. Some of my best photos were unplanned and things happened organically, that’s how I captured candid and authentic moments.
Hope you enjoyed these photos from Denise and Stephen’s Carson Beach engagement session. I loved photographing them. I can’t wait for their wedding in October.
As a side note, I’m now booking 2016 weddings, if you’re engaged and looking for a Boston wedding photographer, please feel free to get in touch.
