Shining Tides Jewish Wedding Mattapoisett: Kate & Aaron

August 17, 2016

One of my most favorite things about photographing a Shining Tides wedding is the amount of variety of locations we can use for photography; there’s a beach, a boardwalk, huge open grassy areas, a mini forest, which I’m obsessed with, and many more. We started the day with Kate and the girls getting ready at a rental house a short drive away from Shining Tides and the guys got ready at a nearby hotel. It made sense to have the rental house because of the number of bridesmaids and flower girls. It was a treat working with Kate and Aaron because they’re upbeat and easy-going.

If you haven’t checked out Kate and Aaron’s East Boston engagement session, be sure to take a look before scrolling down.

Kate’s super long veil was magical, it flowed so elegantly in the wind.

There were five bridesmaids and seven “flower girls.” I really loved how well coordinated their dresses were.

The Ketubah signing was brief and heartfelt. The Ketubah had an overall blue design that matched Kate and Aaron’s wedding theme.

Kate and Aaron are huge baseball fans. Instead of a guest sign-in book, they had guests sign on baseballs.

Thank you Kate and Aaron for having me document such a special day of your lives. You have been amazingly kind to me and each other and it was such a treat hearing some of the stories from your hilarious toast givers :)

What was the most memorable moment of your wedding celebration?
The most memorable moment for us was during the ceremony when we were able to look around and take everything in. It was when we realized that the day had finally arrived, and we were finally getting married!
Kate’s favorite moment was also dancing to SHOUT!

Funniest memory of the night?
Kate: The funniest memories were during the speeches. Everyone had really wonderful, hilarious things to say about me and Aaron and our love for each other.
Aaron: Almost getting our heads chopped off by the beams during the hora

Any advice for future brides and grooms?
Do what makes YOU happy-and this should include hiring Sam as your photographer :)

What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?
Growing old and wrinkly together and knowing that no matter the challenges we are going to face in life, we are never facing them alone.
