There’s so much to love about Rebecca and Chris’ wedding… from the beautiful rustic feel to the emotional ceremony and low key reception, this Nashoba Valley Winery wedding struck the perfect balance between intimate and extravagant.
I first met Chris from Beth and Matt’s Lyman Estate wedding a couple years ago when he was the best man. It was pleasantly surprised when they got in touch. We did their engagement session at the Arnold Arboretum, which was nothing but awesome. I was so glad we did the engagement photos because they were so much more relaxed on their wedding day (read about other benefits of doing an engagement session.)
The wedding day started at Nashoba Winery where Rebecca got ready in the bridal suite with her bridesmaids. Chris and his best best, Matt, were ready when they arrived. They chose not to do a first look, which worked out fine for this wedding because we had enough time for formals after the ceremony. It rained during the ceremony but luckily for the bride and groom, the gazebo allowed them to stay dry. The rain stopped shortly after the ceremony so we were fortunate enough to be able to use the beautiful apple farm for bridal party portraits.
I really liked that this was a medium length veil, which made maneuvering so much easier. Long veils are stunning too if you can work with one.
This was a photo Rebecca requested; I think it was really sweet the way she pinned the boutonniere on her dad.
And the ceremony began…
The outdoor ceremony was at the gazebo, which started in nice weather, until it started to drizzle. Our original plan was to have Rebecca and Chris stand in front of the gazebo, but luckily by moving a few steps back, they were able to stay dry.
There was an apple farm at the Nashoba Valley Winery. We took full advantage of it for our wedding portraits.
I asked Rebecca to close her eyes and imagine her life with her brand spanking new husband and she had a smile on her face.
We found this old barn next to the reception, and it made a perfect backdrop for the rustic feel of the wedding.
Rebecca’s smize was on point.
And the last dance concluded Rebecca and Chris’ wedding at the Nashoba Valley Winery. I was honored to be a part of the wedding day of such an amazing couple.
