This has got to be one of the most amazing first dances I have ever seen. I just love how he picks her up and twirls her around. The way her dress moves is perfect. The wedding venue looks amazing; I love the open design and the natural light coming in the windows. This was a wedding I second shot for Kate Femino. It was right after we did family photos and the bride and groom walked into the reception room before guests got in, hence no one was in the background. They were rehearsing their first dance. A few staffs of the venue stopped what they were doing and were memorized by this super awesome dance.
I think wedding GIF animations are really fun. It’s hard to do them at weddings because everything happens so fast and I don’t always have a tripod laying around. Things can happen and be done by the time I finish setting up my tripod. I shot this handheld and aligned them in Photoshop. I tried holding my camera as steadily as I could using the highest burst rate and I knew exactly what I was going to do to align them in post production. It came out just the way I imagined.
